I was reading through various blogs today and came upon this gem:

On a mainstream blog, read by thousands, hundreds of thousands of people, the proof of everything I was saying, of everything Phillip Weiss' blog has been saying.
The fact that for the neocons, both from the left and right side of the political spectrum in America, Israel is the number one issue, if not THE issue.
Everything else is just window dressing, a facade, for the stupified American goyim.
Here is Lieberman, Bennett, Kristol, using the pathetic
pathetic Petraues hearing in Congress, to once again make a case for American war with Iran.
The headline might as well have screamed: "Jewish, Likudnik, far right neocons want America to again shed blood for Israel - this time the target is Iran"
I delved into the comments and shuddered.
The people commenting on the story were confused, angry, but did not understand exactly why these neocons want America in another war.
So I made the case with two comments of my own:

How much PROOF do people need about the whole dual loyalty issue and the power of the pro-Israel lobby and pro-Israel activists masquerading as American Citizens…
There is only one matter a priori with these neocons - “Is it good for Israel?” Everything else is window dressing.
Note that the actual action MAY NOT be good for Israel but in their own minds it is (I would argue that turning Iraq into a Shia religious state is against Israeli interests but these are Likudnik zealots, the far right of Israeli and American political spectrum. Also, I would argue that attacking Iran now will destabilize the whole Middle East region, making a more dangerous situation to Israeli interests - but then again, I am sane.).
WHEN WILL THIS BE DISCUSSED OPENLY, WITHOUT FEAR?!
THIS LOBBY IS DESTROYING OUR NATION.
I run a blog which (among other issues) tackles the power of the lobby.
This article makes a case, with multiple sources, about the power of the lobby and how much of an (incredible, insane, unfathomable) influence it has over our American political system, and indeed how it shapes American foreign policy - and has done so, for decades.
Of course, when these facts are brought forth, as they are difficult to ignore and only a willfully blind person will not see them - the cry of “you are an anti semite!” will spring up, stifling all discussion…
Well you know what - not any more.
Not another war.
Not with my kids’ blood, arms, legs, death…
There was no reaction to the comment at all, no discussion of the role the pro-Israel lobby, and its vanguard the neocons, have played in getting the USA into the war with Iraq and their role in trying to get America into another war - with Iran.
The usual comments were all about "neoclowns", "they are crazy", "this is all for GE, Haliburton, Lockheed" types of arguments.
So - these highly educated, highly intelligent neocons are crazy, stupid, dumb and this is all for corporate America interests anyway.
I was exasperated.
I blew a gasket.
Perhaps if I provided some background to these clueless people, a short timeline with explanation of what exactly is going on?
Thinking to myself "sounds like a good plan, that!", I wrote my

No one is seeing here how cynically the Likud/neocon activists in American establishment/government are manipulating the USA?
The only thing they worry about is “What is best for Israel” or, perhaps a better version, “What is best for my LIKUD, FAR RIGHT version of Israel?”.
A de-fanging of Iraq (and turning it into a Mad Max anarchy state) and doing the same with Iran (and then Syria) was in the original Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm, which was a paper written by neocons on how to make Israel more secure.
The targets to “take out” for Israeli interests were Iraq first, then Iran, then Syria. The leader of this policy analysis team was Richard Perle.
Then Project for the New American Century was created, to implement and put into action the “Clean Break” plan.
And guess what?
It was and still is being put into motion - this plan is reality.
Calling these people “war hawks” or “right wingers” or “war mongers” is disengenious.
They are not insane - it is right there, in the open, the plan for (Likud, far right version, opposed by most Israelis actually) making Israel secure - using American military and money.
Anybody reading this blog (and who is knowledgeable about politics in the USA, even from skimming Reuters/AP and watching TV "news", and is not blinded by AIPAC ideology) knows that this is the short version of what happened in modern American history.
First, the A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm policy recommendation paper was written by Richard Perle and other neocons.
The "Clean Break" paper was written for then Israeli prime minister, Bibi Netanyahu, and stated that for Israel to be secure, Iraq, Iran and then Syria would have to be "taken out".
In that order.
Yes, REALLY, that is what the "Clean Break" paper was about - go read it yourself here:
"Israel can shape its strategic environment, in cooperation with Turkey and Jordan, by weakening, containing, and even rolling back Syria. This effort can focus on removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq — an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right — as a means of foiling Syria’s regional ambitions. "
"An effective approach, and one with which American can sympathize, would be if Israel seized the strategic initiative along its northern borders by engaging Hizballah, Syria, and Iran, as the principal agents of aggression in Lebanon, including by:
* striking Syria’s drug-money and counterfeiting infrastructure in Lebanon, all of which focuses on Razi Qanan.
* paralleling Syria’s behavior by establishing the precedent that Syrian territory is not immune to attacks emanating from Lebanon by Israeli proxy forces.
* striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon, and should that prove insufficient, striking at select targets in Syria proper. "
So lets not kid ourselves - Israel views the destabilization of Iraq, Iran and Syria as its national goals.
So what happened after the "Clean Break" study, written by American Citizens for Israel?
Why, the Project for the New American Century was born.
Think about the dates.
"Clean Break" was written in 1996.
PNAC is founded by Jewish neocons in 1997.
PNAC is then, simply, an organization to carry out the "Clean Break" goals to make Israel more secure in the Middle East, by using American military and money to accomplish those goals.
And that is what I wrote in my (very short) 2nd comment.
A few seconds later I logged onto the comment section on Think Progress and see "Awaiting Moderation" next to my comments.
Meanwhile, all the other comments, the sheep bleating about "Why are they doing this, they are crazy!", "war mongers!", "we cannot afford another war", bleat bleat bleat.
I copied my comments into my blog to save them.
Then, inevitably, my two comments will soon be deleted.
And that is when I saw red - I blew a gasket... I was angry...
Calling a spade a spade, calling neocons agents of a foreign power, showing that whether they are on the American Left or Right, Democrat or Republican, they ALL have one goal in mind - to do the lobby's bidding, to right now involve America in a new war with Iran... and then with Syria....
Acknowledging that "Clean Break" was written by American Citizens, Jewish-Americans, and that these same people later founded (and helped out with realizing the goals of) PNAC, is taboo.
Shouting "dual loyalty!" is taboo.
This is not allowed.
Off to the garbage bin your comments will go... once the moderator deletes them. Reported, unacceptable content, questioning the WHY of the neocons actions...
And, despite this being clear, as clear as a sunny day, to see by anybody with half a brain cell who has even a passing interest in American politics, the bleating sheep will not see it, will choose not to see it.
Bleat "war mongers", bleat "they are crazy", bleat "why are they doing this, another war?", bleat "war profiteers", bleat bleat bleat!
Pathetic.
Well, all I can say - onward christian soldiers, onward to Iran... and then Syria... while the sheep, bleating and uncomprehending, are led the slaughter.
